Florida Automated Vehicle Summit Student Poster Exhibition & Competition

The 2022 Florida Automated Vehicle FAV Summit will be an in-person event at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, December 14 -16, 2022. The FAV Summit assembles industry leaders from around the world to address technologies, operations, and policy issues. Topics will include automated, connected, electric, and shared (ACES) mobility, operations, law, infrastructure, functional design, cyber security, ethics, aftermarket products, enabling technologies, and public policy.

Students enrolled in Florida Universities are invited to submit a poster for exhibition during the event. Selected posters will be displayed at the conference venue from noon, December 15 to noon, December 16. A judging committee will evaluate the student posters and select three finalists for the 2022 FAV Summit Student Poster Award. The finalists will be informed in the evening of December 15, and the winner of the award will be announced in the General Session on December 16.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the student poster award, poster presenters must be current students (graduate or undergraduate) at the time of the submission or must have received their degree during the preceding academic year. Faculty coauthors are permitted on student posters, but the student must be the first and presenting author on the poster. The research must have been substantially completed while the student authors were enrolled in a degree program.

Instructions for Participation & Submission of Posters, Videos:

  1. Students should prepare a 36-inch x 24-inch poster (PDF format) and an optional 3-minute video presentation (video size should be less than 100 Mb).
  2. Upload PDF of poster and video at the following Dropbox link https://www.dropbox.com/request/eGA3ZG1vcMGMsLIydVe0
  3. Students who upload a 3-min video will receive extra credits in the judging process.
  4. For each accepted poster, a student author can receive a free registration to the Summit.

To be eligible for the award, attendees must present their poster at the Summit. The award committee will consider all posters that relate to the study of automated, connected, electric, and shared (ACES) mobility, operations, law, infrastructure, functional design, cyber security, ethics, aftermarket products, enabling technologies, and public policy.

A 2022 FAV Summit Student Poster Award certificate will be awarded to the student poster judged the “best” overall based on the content of the poster, the quality of the visual display of information on the poster, and the ability of the presenter to present the subject matter successfully and succinctly in the poster session. A panel of researchers will judge the posters.
