UFTI Director Dr. Lily Elefteriadou traveled to Brazil in August 2019 to present her work on “Signal Control Optimization for Autonomous and Connected Vehicles”, a project funded by NSF (Award Number 1446813; additional information on this project is provided at http://avian.essie.ufl.edu/about/). She also presented an overview of the I-STREET testbed and spoke with students and faculty about advanced transportation technologies and their implementation. The invitation was extended to her by colleagues and collaborators from the School of Engineering at the University of São Paulo located in São Carlos, Brazil.
