UFTI Spotlight: Dr. Zoleikha Biron

Dr. Zoleikha Biron recently joined the University of Florida Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as an assistant professor. Dr. Biron’s research focuses on cyber physical systems with applications in intelligent transportation systems, connected and autonomous vehicles, power systems and the integration of electric vehicles with smart power systems. She is also interested in utilizing control theory, optimization, estimation and fault diagnostics techniques to enhance the security, reliability, and efficiency of cyber physical systems.Prior to joining UF, she spent 18 months at the Clemson University International Center of Automotive Research (CU_ICAR) as a post-doctoral researcher. Dr. Biron received her Ph.D. from Clemson University in 2017 and her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from K.N. Toosi University of Technology and University of Tehran, respectively. At Clemson, she was selected as best Ph.D. student in the International Center of Automotive Research (CU_ICAR), and her research has been published in several peer evaluated journals and conferences.
