A temporary steel sheet pile wall (SPW) is frequently used to stabilize soil during construction. An SPW is installed prior to the installation of the production piles.  University of Florida researchers, led by principal investigator Jae Chung, Ph.D., investigated the effects of installation and removal of sheet pile walls on piles driven into granular soils.
