Chimay J. Anumba - People

Chimay Anumba, Ph.D., PE, is Professor and Dean of the College of Design, Construction and Planning at the University of Florida. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (the United Kingdom’s National Academy of Engineering.) He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK; a higher doctorate – D.Sc. (Doctor of Science) – from Loughborough University, UK; and an Honorary Doctorate (Dr.hc.) from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. His research interests are in the fields of advanced engineering informatics, concurrent engineering, knowledge management, distributed collaboration systems and intelligent systems. He has over 450 scientific publications in these fields and his work has received support worth over $150,000,000 from a variety of sources. He has also supervised to completion 47 doctoral candidates and mentored over 23 postdoctoral researchers. He is a Chartered/Professional Engineer and a Fellow of the following professional institutions: The American Society of Civil Engineers, The Institution of Civil Engineers and The Institution of Structural Engineers. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal: Engineering, Construction and Architectural Management and sits on the editorial board of several other journals.
