Aimsun Next Training Session

Aimsun Next is a transportation modeling software package that supports travel demand modeling, dynamic traffic assignment and simulation at various levels of aggregation (mesoscopic, microscopic and hybrid). This two-day training session by Aimsun is offered free of charge for UF students.

When: March 21-22  (Thursday and Friday)

Where: Weil 457 (Thursday 9 to 12), Weil 513 (Thursday 12.30 to 6pm and Friday 9 to 6pm)

Training Instructor Biography:

Geline Canayon joined Aimsun in 2016 and has built up extensive experience in microsimulation; her area of focus is the implementation of ramp metering and congestion pricing system in Aimsun Next, as well as active traffic management strategies (ATMS) that require the use of application program interfaces (APIs). She has deep knowledge of multi-resolution regional models, including the use of features such as Revisions and Geometry Configurations. In her role as Product Specialist, she is an ambassador for Aimsun Next at conferences, presentations, technology partnerships and Aimsun Next training sessions for consultants and government agencies across North America; internally, she advocates software and model improvements on behalf of the users and Aimsun’s business development and professional services teams.
