The UFTI Transportation Technology Transfer Center, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration will present a 1.5-day workshop on low-cost best practices for safety. Federal, state,and local transportation officials, traffic and safety engineers, and planners involved in reducing crashes are encouraged to attend. Emphasis will be placed on the application of some 40+ traffic operations and highway improvement measures with their associated crash modification factors. The instructor will present case studies which will illustrate low-cost safety improvements put in place by state and local highway agencies.

Topics to be presented in the workshop include:

Crash-modification factors of enhanced application of low-cost traffic control devices, for intersections, for traffic signals.
