REMINDER! Prospective Ph.D. Students – Your application is due December 15th

Through the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE), the UFTI has six fellowships available in the amount of $6,000 each for students from any department in the HWCOE accepted into a Ph.D. program and who will be conducting transportation-related research. This one-time fellowship named the Iva and Norman Tuckett University of Florida Transportation Institute Fellowship is awarded in addition to a Graduate Research Assistantship from the student’s department. Assistantships cover all tuition fees as well as a stipend for students.

The Ph.D. program in Transportation Engineering offers students exciting opportunities to work on cutting-edge interdisciplinary research on the theory of traffic flow, simulation and optimization of transportation systems, traveler behavior, infrastructure design and monitoring, big data and data analytics, emergent technologies such as electric/automated vehicles, dynamic traveler information systems, and safety and sustainability of multi-modal transportation systems. The deadline to apply to the UF Graduate School is December 15, 2015. Newly admitted Ph.D. students will automatically be contacted to apply for the fellowship by a representative from the College’s Graduate Student Affairs Office.
