UFTI Director Co-Authors Chapters in Book on Vehicle Automation

Dr. Lily Elefteriadou, Professor and Director of the UFTI, has co-authored two chapters in a book devoted to Road Vehicle Automation. The contents are a collection of chapters based off poster and oral presentations from the Autonomous Vehicles Symposium held in Orlando, Florida on July 15-18, 2019.

Proceedings of the 2019 Workshop on Linked Building Data & Semantic Web Technologies

With an increase in the use of computer software, technologies and automation such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the built environment and the architecture, engineering, construction and operation industry (AEOC) have been experiencing a transformation that has greatly improved their industry. A workshop was organized to share information and experiences on the use of data and technologies within the AEOC industry.

Dr. Shirin Noei

In July, Dr. Shirin Noei successfully defended her dissertation, "Longitudinal Control in Traffic Microsimulation". She graduated this month from the UF Department of Civil & Coastal Engineering. Currently, Dr. Noei is a research assistant professor at Tennessee Technological University where she is part of an interdisciplinary center engaged in research on smart grid, resilient infrastructure, and wireless power.
