Dr. Reggie Chandra Joins UFTI External Advisory Board

We welcome Dr. Reggie Chandra as the newest member of our External Advisory Board. He is the founder and CEO of Rhythm Engineering, in Lenexa, Kansas and a traffic engineer specializing in traffic congestion. Currently, he focuses on “Smart Cities” with connected vehicles and infrastructure.

In 2005, Dr. Chandra invented In|Sync, a robot that synchronizes traffic lights, reduced automobile crashes by 30%. Rhythm Engineering’s solutions operate in 2600 intersections in 156 cities in 31 states, impacting 7,500,00 motorists daily.

Dr. Chandra received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the College of Engineering Trivandrum; his M.E. in Traffic Engineering from the University of Florida; and his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. He also published “Shades of Green – Why Traffic Signals Frustrate You and What You Can Do to Fix Them.”
