The University of Florida Transportation Institute, in collaboration with the California Department of Transportation and the T-SCORE University Transportation Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology, hosted the Interstate Transit Research Symposium, which was a free, online event that brought together transit experts to discuss the latest in public transportation research in the United States. This virtual event featured talks and panels on important transit-related topics, including transit finance, racial justice, mobility and modality, technology and zero-emission vehicles in transit, and COVID-19. Speakers and panelists included well-known experts such as Susan Shaheen from the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), Paul Skoutelas from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), and Martin Wachs from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
