Congratulations to Ph.D. student Fabio Sasahara for being awarded $1,000 as runner-up for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Jack E. Leisch Memorial Graduate Fellowship. The fellowship is a memorial to the outstanding professional accomplishments and contributions of Jack E. Leisch, member of ASCE, to the fields of highway design, traffic operations and transportation planning. Selection was based on appraisal of the applicant’s academic program, educational plan, academic performance and standing, post graduate intentions, leadership capacity, and financial need.
