Welcome Alyssa and Don!

Alyssa Mercadante graduated in December 2017 with a degree in Management. While in school she had opportunities to work for the UF Health Dermatology practice at Springhill and managed a local store, Arabesque, in Gainesville, FL. Mercadante joins the T2 Center team as the Network Assistant. “I’m excited to be a part of the UFTI’s Transportation Technology Transfer Center team! Go Gators!”

Don Weatherby has recently joined the UFTI’s T2 Center team. “I look forward to embracing the many challenges ahead!”  Weatherby served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Chief Aviation Ordnanceman. Recently, Weatherby was employed with Clay County Public Works as a Safety and Training Coordinator. This position allowed him to become a qualified Stormwater Inspector and an FDOT-certified Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic instructor with multiple FEMA certifications. Weatherby holds an Associate’s Degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia College of Missouri.
