UFTI Students Participated in ESSIE Poster Competition

Last month, 40 students from the Engineering School of Sustainable Infrastructure & Environment (ESSIE) presented their research posters to professional engineers from companies in Florida. Several students from the UFTI participated in the poster competition; Sinead Crotty, an environmental engineering student affiliated with the UFTI, tied for second place in the competition.

There were a total of 17 judges from the following companies: Geosyntec, Koogler & Associates, AMEC Foster Wheeler, GSE, City of Alachua, Nextera Energy, TRC Consultants, Jones Edmunds, ECT, Powell Labs, RS & H, and SCS Engineers. The top 3 undergraduate presenters and top 4 graduate presenters won scholarships which were made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Koogler & Associates, Geosyntec, ECT, and Jones Edmunds.
