Faculty and staff representing the University of Florida Transportation Institute (UFTI) traveled to the state capitol in Tallahassee, Fla., on April 5, 2017, to participate in Gator Day, an annual event that showcases the University of Florida (UF) to legislators and other state leaders.
“It is important for UFTI to attend this event to let our legislators and the general public know about the latest research coming out of the Institute and the importance of transportation on our daily lives,” said Lily Elefteriadou, professor and director of the UFTI.
Various department and programs tabled at the event in the 2nd and 3rd floor rotundas in the Capitol Courtyard.
The UFTI was honored to have been invited to participate in this event, and plans are underway to make this an annual tradition.
