POSTPONED: A Panel Discussion on Technology & Implementation of Automated & Connected Vehicles

The UFTI will host Sen. Jeff Brandes (R-St. Petersburg), FDOT Secretary Jim Boxold and Dr. Juan Gilbert of the UF Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) to speak on connected and automated vehicle technology and it’s implementation with faculty, staff, students, and other transportation professionals. Sen. Brandes is a member of the State of Florida senate and serves as the Chair of the Transportation Committee. Mr. Boxold was appointed as secretary of the FDOT in early January 2015. Dr. Juan Gilbert is the Andrew Banks Family Preeminence Endowed Chair and serves as the Associate Chair of Research in CISE at UF where he leads the Human-Experience Research Lab.
