Faculty Video Interview with Dr. Siva Srinivasan, Part 2 of 2, “Projects & Research”

In the September 2014 issue of the UFTI e-Newsletter, we featured Part 1 of Dr. Siva Srinivasan’s video titled “The Graduate Program”. This month, we are bringing him back for Part 2 where he describes the various research projects he’s working on. Many of Dr. Srinivasan’s projects have been sponsored by FDOT and STRIDE.

Who is Dr. Siva Srinivasan? He is an associate professor in the Department of Civil & Coastal Engineering at the University of Florida and is an active member of the UFTI’s Internal Steering Committee. Dr. Srinivasan’s research program focuses on transportation planning and policy evaluation, activity-based approaches for travel demand modeling and forecasting, GPS and GIS applications for travel data collection and analysis, travel impacts of new information and communication technologies, and more.

His teaching responsibilities include two courses at UF: TTE 5005 Urban Transportation Systems and TTE 6505 Discrete Choice Analysis.
