UFTI Attends Workshop and Meet-Up in Minneapolis

Members of the UF Transportation Institute (UFTI) attended a workshop on “Future Highway Capacity Manual Updates”, held on June 14-17, 2017, in Minneapolis, MN. Attendees were given the opportunity to participate in high-level discussions and presentations and networked with key professionals in the traffic engineering field from industry and academia.

While in Minneapolis, a dinner meeting was organized for UFTI faculty, students, staff, and alumni attending the workshop by Dr. Lily Elefteriadou and Gator ITE members Gustavo R. de Andrade and Fabio Sasahara. The group came together on June 15h at Crave, a restaurant in the Minneapolis area.

“This sure was a good opportunity to meet again and network in a more informal environment,” Andrade said. “All attendees manifested their interest in establishing long-term relationships and being part of a permanent UFTI Alumni Group.”
