The Highway Capacity & Quality of Service Committee received the Blue Ribbon Award for promoting and sponsoring transportation research. The committee promulgates a broad range of tools applied by practitioners, researchers, educators and public policy makers.  Dr. Lily Elefteriadou, who is the former chair of the committee said, ” I enjoyed working with this committee made up of a large number of hardworking volunteers from different organizations. I’m very proud of the 6th Edition of the Highway Capacity Manual that the committee produced.” The TRB Technical Activities Council (TAC) Blue Ribbon Committees Program recognizes exemplary best practice among standing committee activities and the volunteer efforts associated with those activities.
